MISSION STATEMENT
blue Sports Outdoors is an organization dedicated to raise awareness for the prevention of child abuse.
Our mission is to create opportunities to make the sporting public aware of the silent victims of child abuse and to raise awareness through the sale of products to fund events and programs dedicated to the prevention of child abuse. We are committed to help create opportunities for the hunting and fishing industry and sports enthusiasts to unify behind this cause to make a difference in the life of a child. The color blue and blue ribbon are accepted and recognized symbols for the prevention of child abuse. |
SAVING ONE CHILD AT A TIME
Child abuse crosses all economic and social boundaries in our society without regard of race, economic status or educational background.
Three million children are reported each year of being abused and according to loveourchildren.org, it is estimated that 3 times as many cases go unreported, bringing the total to 9 million children nationally that are abused each year. |
ABOUT US
The idea for bluesportsoutdoors.com originated from the tremendous support received from fishing and hunting participants and industry for the annual Carl Perkins Bass Classic fishing tournament held on Kentucky Lake the 2nd weekend of October. This tournament benefits the Carl Perkins Child Abuse Prevention Center located in Decatur County, Tennessee. cpbassclassic.com The concept of a national organization to unify all sports participants including hunting and fishing with a common goal of bringing awareness of child abuse and to raise funds for this cause was conceived from this one event. Prior to this time, the hunting and fishing industry and sports in general did not have a unified organization to support prevention of child abuse. A percentage of all sales will be donated to events and programs that support the prevention of child abuse. We hope you will join in this effort and together we can “”SAVE ONE CHILD AT A TIME””.
